I chose this rating because the book was great. The author is an amazing care giver. I was a social worker who saw things that were unbelievable, and if we had had more Maggies and Caroles, the system would work like it was meant to.I liked her positive attitude and the fact that she works for the children and not just for herself.I would recommend this book to all social service personnel. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys just reading.Maggie, you are special!!
I love this author and all of her true story accounts of foster caring for children who have come from the worst kind of living environments. It’s heartbreaking to hear the trauma these poor kids are put through, however, it’s people like Maggie who show you how love and structure can truly make a difference. All of Maggie’s books are so interesting and emotional, you can’t put them down! Thank you, Maggie, for the kind heart of yours in fostering for over 20 years. You are an amazing woman.
I have read all of Maggie Hartley books. I love her writing and the heart she puts into it. She takes me there with her. She lets us know her feelings. This book had surprises. I was not sure how it was going to turn out. A great read!!
