ISG Allin and I have some similarities and some differences. We're both retired Army, both Vietnam vets, and both writers. Differences include his significant combat experience (I was an engineer company commander building QL-1) and what we write. I'm a non-fiction writer, and he takes non-fiction and adds details that make it fiction. I am in awe of someone who can write fiction.I have read all of his books, and I have no idea which I liked best. The first night I sat down with "Prey for the Sniper," I finished another book and was just going to read one chapter - just get started. Several hours and chapters later, I put the book down. I set aside an hour or so each night to read, and I was done the book in four nights. Each night, I had to make myself stop reading.I can't wait for his next book.
Dave Allin has written another mind blowing novel that will be enjoyed by a large spectrum of readers. His story line will keep the reader mesmerized until the very end. I have read each of his books and this one is one of my favorites.
Good fast read. I was in the 25th div. And liked the familiar places. All his VN books are weaving together. Do recommend.
