There is no need to talk much about the story, as others here have covered it and you will learn more from researching as opposed to a biased review; however, I will talk about the quality of this manga.The value is obviously quite good, as you get three volumes for about $12, contrasted to the $24 with buying the volumes separate.The quality of this 3-in-1 Edition leaves a little something to be desired. The paper is about as thin as wax paper, but this also makes it very easy to read. This means you are able to see pictures through pages when they are laid flat upon one another.Overall this is a very good value, but if you are looking to collect Bleach I would recommend buying separate volumes for a few reasons:1.) It takes quite some time for these 3-in-1's to be released, so you have to wait longer2.) The separate volumes are higher quality3.) You get all of the original cover images (you don't get two of them because of obvious reasons.)Although it is quite expensive to buy them separate...(around $480 I believe..)

I'm not going to review Bleach as a story, though I do love it a lot. I'm going to tell you about the 'bleed-through' that some other reviews mentioned because that's the only thing that would change my mind on buying these 3-in-1 books for significantly less than single volumes.The bleed-through is negligible: it's noticeable if you are looking for it, but not so much that you pay any attention to it while reading (imo). The picture I added of Ichigo's character page is one of the worst examples of the bleeding, but that's also with flash on when taking the picture. The other two panel pictures are back-to-back pages, and the reason why I said the bleeding is 'negligible': if it isn't going to show through with that much black ink on one side, then it's not going to be a problem for most people.I'm happy with this volume, and I don't have any reasons not to buy more of them.

When I bought this I thought that it would be a mini box set of three volumes, but that isn't what it is. I probably should have known that even a box set wouldn't have cost less than half of buying them separately. Instead of being a three volume box set it is a single book made from merging three volumes into it. This wouldn't be a problem if they didn't make this larger book thinner by using thinner paper. This causes the ink from one side of the paper be visible on the other side. This isn't that strange in normal books, but since this book uses pictures the bleed through can make an damage details in an image. It isn't bad enough to be more than a slight annoyance.This also doesn't have any of the color pages, all pages that used to have color are now In grayscale. This doesn't make much difference in the early volumes where there were only a couple color pages, but the later on there are a lot more and it is disappointing knowing that a page should be in full color but only seeing gray.However it's still the same artwork still the same story and characters that we love, just more affordable.If want to buy the Bleach manga relatively cheap then get this, but if you can afford it get the normal volumes individually or in box sets.

If you're just looking to read the series, this is a less expensive option. If you're looking to collect the volumes, the paper is very low quality. You can almost see the pages through each other. Good price for the amount of manga you get.

I started buy Bleach shortly before the Borders Bookstore by my home announced it was closing its doors. Because of this there were volumes that I missed out on, but thank god for Amazon. I bought this (and one other) volume and they arrive in pristine shape; I felt so giddy just holding them. Thank you Amazon, be it on my Kindle, or in hand, you've never failed me with my book orders.

Great quality book and super cool manga. Written in English but reads from back to front and right to left like the original Japanese version.

I love bleach! I love even more that I can buy them in a collected edition and save some money. Ohhh the twists and turns! You won't be disappointed!

This book was recommended to me as a family member was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's and the adult children were in need of advice. I read the book overnight and then gave it to one of them to read..which she did overnight as well. It was then passed to others in the family and all of us agree...it is VERY good. Ironically, of the 5 folks involved in the decision making, all of us had attended the University where Professor James is located. I have since ordered another to keep in my personal library as a general guide for aging if not just for this terrible disease.

This is a great book. It is an easy read and I read it in one night. I then gave it to my staff members and asked them to read it. They tell me they are so happy to have something like that...It helps them understand better what functions I perform as an Elder Law Attorney. I am planning on purchasing another copy to put in my local library. That way I can tell my clients to check the book out of the library if they want to read it. As we know, not all clients want that much information, but the book will be there for those who want to know more. Thanks.

My mother is late stage Alzheimer's. This book gave very accurate descriptions of the stages of the disease. I wish our family had made legal arrangements described in the book sooner. Unfortunately, a car accident accelerated mom's progression. It is so easy to think you have more time!

My caregivers who come to my support group have asked to read this book as it seems to be something that will help them. That is the main reason I bought it as I try to do everything I can to help those who are walking in my shoes!

I have not really used this book much but still wanted to review to get this off my list. I will hopefully use this book in the summer and coming up vacations. I have learnt to control portions and stop eating after 8 or 9 pm

The recipes are tasty and fairly simple. I don't think they were properly vetted as many are missing instructions. Example, a recipe called for stir frying 1 pound of pork for 2 minutes, then adding some vegetables, but there was no instruction to cut them into bite sized pieces. It is hard to imagine stir frying a whole red bell pepper!

Great book that show different recipes , that are in the different categories. Everything is put in portion to a single serving which I love.

About the Author

Dick Hannula is one of the winningest high school and club coaches in the history of swimming. Before retiring in 1993, he coached for 41 years—25 years at Wilson High School and 7 years at Lincoln High School, both in Tacoma, Washington. While at Wilson, he racked up the longest high school undefeated streak on record, winning 323 consecutive meets, including 24 consecutive boys’ Washington state high school swimming championships. Hannula founded Tacoma Swim Club and served as head coach for 42 years. He has coached four U.S. Olympic team swimmers, including Kaye Hall, Olympic- and world-record holder for the 100-meter backstroke. He has also coached numerous Olympic team members, including one Olympic gold medalist and one world record holder; World University Games swimmers; Pan American Games and World Championship swimmers; several U.S. national champions; and American record holders. Hannula served multiple terms as president of the American Swimming Coaches Association and is a former vice president of the World Swim Coaches Association. He has been inducted into several halls of fame, including the International Swimming Hall of Fame. Hannula resides in Tacoma, Washington. Nort Thornton served as head men’s swimming coach at the University of California at Berkeley before retiring in 2007 after 33 years of service. His teams consistently finished in the top 10 nationally while Thornton was at the helm of Golden Bears swimming. Thornton coached Cal to two NCAA Championships and was named NCAA Coach of the Year in 1979 and 1980. An inductee into the International Swimming Hall of Fame, he has coached the U.S. national team at the Olympics and Pan American Games. Forty-eight of his athletes at Cal have gone on to compete in the Olympic Games, winning 14 gold, 10 silver, and 5 bronze medals. He has also served the swimming community as president of the American Swimming Coaches Association. Thornton continues to remain active on the Cal pool deck as a volunteer coach. His recruits, Milorad Cavic and Nathan Adrian, both earned medals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Adrian took home a gold medal as part of the United States’ 400-meter freestyle relay. Cavic won a silver medal in the 100-meter butterfly after being out-touched at the wall by Michael Phelps by one-hundredth of a second. Thornton resides in Moraga, California.

This book provides a comprehensive update from the old "Swim Coaches' Bible."The sections on underwater kick, sprint, and mid distance are phenomenal and incredibly helpful in designing work outs.The section on distance swimming was not as good as the previous books section. It was not nearly as thorough as the previous books. While they introduced some great new concepts, the authors of that one section did not offer a conclusive report.

I purchased the Swim Coaching Bible Volume one long time ago. I think it was a wonderful book (I still refer to it regularly). So when I heard of the Volume II from email, I bought it right the way with high expectation.No offense to all these successful coaches, but I am a bit disappointed on this. Overall Volume I is far better than Volume II (sorry coaches). I felt some coaches still have a lot of wonderful stuff being held back and was not covered in their chapters.Well if you did not Volume I, Volume II is still a good book to read (if there is no comparison like Volume I).I am expecting articles like that of Richard Quick in Volume I, but I was disappointed of not finding one.

Probably interesting for experienced coaches.Not the best book for intermediate swimmers (swimmers were not a target group).Still worth to be read in my view.

It was bought as a gift. Recipient liked it.

If you found volume I useful, I strongly recommend you to get this second part of The Swim Coach Bible. Complete your swimming bibliography with this must-have book on your bookshelf.

All Coaches can uses this. It is practical and very usefull, something that one can use in your day to day training. A great find.
